Summary
1guy1jar is a shock video which became popular towards the end of 2008. It features a Russian dude named Alex, a.k.a Jar Man, standing above a jar of reasonable size for a few seconds before he proceeds to sit down on it. The jar is fully engulfed, which is quite an amazing feat in itself, but before long a somewhat alarming crack is heard and Alex (or at least his lower half) seems to wince in pain as red fluid begins to pool underneath him. The remainder of the video consists of Alex meticulously fishing many, many shards of glass out of his bleeding person.
Origins
1guy1jar originates from a website which hosts content which one could probably describe as being pretty niche. When 1guy1jar was uploaded it was described as being one of the worst acts ever caught on camera, so its infamy was pretty much assured right there and then. Nowadays there are many different mirrors and websites hosting the video, the most prominent being an eponymous website which no one should visit.
Current status
The video is pretty old, so every man and his dog has seen it. As a result it is pretty famous, but the shock value of it is questionable unless you're playing a harmless prank on your grandmother.
