It's the Answer to Life... Universe... Everything...

Origins
"42" originated from a book called "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," written by Douglas Adams, although most people just remember it from the movie. In the book, pan-dimensional and hyper intelligent beings (to us appearing as white rats) built Deep Thought to find out what the answer to life, universe, and everything was. After 7.5 millions years of computation, Deep Thought comes up with the answer: 42.
Current status
Very uncommon Nowadays... Occasionally used, especially when Towel Day is approaching.
