AnonTalk

A bulletin board founded and maintained by a lunatic.

Summary

AnonTalk (often abbreviated as AnT) was a bulletin board which served primarily as a home for pedophiles and the love shy. It is particularly infamous for maintaining a massive spam campaign on 4chan, Wikipedia, and Encyclopedia Dramatica, leading many users of those sites to retaliate via DDoS, threats of violence, and reporting its illegal content to the authorities. The site's admin (known as Sysop) frequently banned its users on whims, and sends rambling and threatening emails to other websites' owners in an attempt to convince them to advertise AnT.

Origins

Alm created AnT after being banned from 4chan for posting loli when such imagery was prohibited on any of 4chan's boards. Alm then embarked on a massive campaign to spam links to his new website on a number of other websites, 4chan's /b/ in particular. The site became a "haven for pedophiles" and users often post threads containing CP or detailing their desires to do horrible things to children.

Current status

On April 25th 2011 Anontalk died. This is the last bulletin Kimmo posted:

Even I have a limit where I won't take this fucking bullshit from you any longer. You've come very close to that lately. If you have any interest in saving AT, start spreading the word massively to at least hundreds of new people each, every single day, from now on. Take this seriously.

—Kimmo Alm, before the death of Anontalk

As it turned out, Black Lotus pulled the plug on him and AnonTalk.

On May 1st, Anontalk was replaced with a massive message page from Kimmo stating that AnonTalk would not be coming back until he had made a lot of money for himself. No one knows when or if that will happen, or if it's just insane ramblings.
