Summary

Antoine Dodson is an American hairstylist who saved his sister from from a man who tried to rape her. On July 28, 2010, Dodson was staying with one of his sisters, Kelly Dodson, in Huntsville, Alabama, while attending school for hair design. As they slept in her home, an intruder climbed in her window, crawled into bed with her, and tried to sexually assault her. Antoine heard the scuffle in the other room, and prevented the rape. Antoine was later interviewed by local old media station WAFF-48. After the television station shared the video on YouTube, the video went viral. The Gregory Brothers turned this video into The Bed Intruder Song, which was popular on iTunes. This netted enough money to move both Dodsons out of the projects. The interview is known for Antoine's flamboyant delivery, and such lines as:

Well, obviously, we have a rapist in Lincoln Park. He's climbin' in your windows, he's snatchin' yo' people up, tryin' to rape 'em, so y'all need to hide yo' kids, hide yo' wife, and hide yo' husband, 'cuz they rapin' errbody out here.

We got your t-shirt, you done left fingerprints and all. You are so dumb... you are really dumb, for real.

You don't have to come and confess that you did it. We lookin' for you, we gon' find you. I'm lettin' you know now. So you can run and tell that... homeboy.

Response

The response from the internet ranged from lol to RAGE. Responding to accusations that their interview promoted racial stereotypes, WAFF-48 responded:

but censoring people [...] is far worse
