A Latin American country with a lot of IRL trolls.
Summary
Argentina is a Latin American country that looks suspiciously like a European one. Argentinians (Argies, for short), are known for being really sociable overall with a tiny speck of trollish nature, but tend to be a little racist when it comes to people from their own country with specific characteristics.
Even if argies aren't specially significant to the internet, argies are known around the internet for their flag, featuring a sun with a really creepy face on it. The face has been turned into an exploitable version and is often shooped over someone's actual face. These shoops have been around internet like an underground meme, used mostly by the argies themselves. Sometimes they are seen in various sites posting Spanish comments or threads about how awesome their country is.
Their official imageboard is on development and won't see the light for a while.
Origins
Argentina was originally a colony of Spain. Argentina gained its independence, and it also gained a lot of Italian immigrants. Buenos Aires, the capital, was designed to mimic a European city; residents of Argentina say they are going to "South America" when they travel to Brazil and Chile.
In the post-World War II era Eva Peron, wife of ruler Juan Peron, became a figure of intrigue throughout the world. Many Nazis fleeing post-World War II Europe settled in Argentina. Israel engineered the kidnapping of Adolf Eichmann from Argentina.
Current status
While the economic and politic systems were, are, and will be fucked up, the rest of the country is pretty damn awesome. The current president is Cristina Kirchner (Eva Peron 2.0, now with moar botox!), and is naturally hated by most of the country.
