Chatrevolve has a concept similar to Chatroulette, loaded with many features like the option to choose a random male or female partner. You can also choose location, age and more. It was also the first site with Multi-Chatroulette which is 2 modules on one screen.

The site launched in mid 2010, only 2 months after Chatroulette and was one of the first similar sites on the internet. Many copy cat sites followed and there was even a recent report estimating that there are now over 15,000 Chatroulette type sites.

Origins

The site's flash script was created by Videosoftware pro. The content was created by Chatrevolve's domain registrant and current owner. The site started with about 100-200 uniques visitors per day in May 2010.

Current status

The site continues to grow and is still maintained by the original owner. Traffic has more than tripled since it's official launch date. New features like Tiny-Chatroulette have now been deployed on the site with more planned.
