Summary

Chris Benoit was a WWE wrestler/performer with a successful career and many championship titles. He probably would have never had a great impact on the internet if weren't for the events that took place from June 22nd to June 24th, 2007.

Over those two days, Chris took the lives of his wife and son by strangling them then he hung himself. Many theories have been suggested as to why he killed his family and himself. Steroid-induced rage over his shrunken penis has been the most popular theory. Another theory is that he took too many shots to the head, as a medical examiner noted that his brain looked like that of an 85 year old man with Alzheimer disease, or the medical examiner looked at the brain of an 85 year old Alzheimer patient.

Because of the shocking nature of this crime the internet had a field day with trolling and jokes.

Origins

He was born in Montreal Quebec, which explains the french last name. He moved to Edmonton Alberta. He trained in Stu Hart's dungeon in Calgary Alberta. He lost one of his teeth, because his dog learned skull bash and used it on benoit.
