Delicious Flat Chest (commonly abbreviated as DFC) is a self-explanatory term which describes the delicacy of a chest, mostly used by weeaboos and otakus. There are many differences between 2D and 3D flat chested women, at least according to the otaku community. It is their "rarity" (as well as their youthful appearance) that are found appealing by those who lust after mosquito bite tits.

Because most men will naturally prefer women with bigger breasts, flat chested women are often ignored and rejected due to the lack of fat sticking out their chests. Despite rejection by many, flat chests are often idolized by some men, especially amongst anime/otaku communities, who prefer women that look younger. It's also favored by men who happen to have a thing for unnatural women. From this, it is discovered that girls with DFCs are adored by the very creeps they reject and denied by the ones they do want. Thus they either have to endure the difficulty of finding a man or become a feminist because of their undesired lower B, A, or even AA cup breasts.

Origins

"Delicious Flat Chest" was coined when a group of weeaboos felt they could no longer stand seeing female anime characters with anatomically impossibly large breasts (which they dub them as "Disgusting Cow Tits") everywhere and hardly any characters without breasts or with smaller busts. There have also been many anime shows (mostly moeblobs with the slice of life subgenre) that emphasize the lack of breasts on female characters through fan service, making it more favorable which would explain why so many anime nerds love them. From message boards everywhere such as 4chan's /a/ board, they felt their devoted love and appreciation for flat chests should not be looked down upon. It should also be noted that DFC does not apply to real life women, or 3DPD as they are called, since otakus despise them and are only concerned with 2D girls. For a more appealing term, they managed to coin the title "Delicious Flat Chest" for their paraphilia. Therefore it was decided that it is delicious flat chest, and you must love it.

Common usage

Used mainly by otakus and lolicons as the word was coined by anime fans. If you're surfing in an anime image board, then you'll more than likely see people talk about flat chests.

In Anime

In anime, Delicious Flat Chests are found wherever there are lolis, hence why they are so popular with otakus. This includes moeblobs like Lucky Star or anime such as Boku no Pico with a targeted audience for those who prefer chests on little boys. Again, none of this is a surprise as Japan is full of lonely, perverted lolicons that happen to enjoy shows that should be for little girls a little too much. In anime, those with DFCs can be and usually are just as floozy as their breasts-so-big-they-sag-to-the-ground counterparts, despite the DFC trait being billed as something of "purity" and "innocence". In some instances, they tend to be lascivious tarts as it is a well known fact that much of anime is filled with fan service.

It should also be noted that DFCs are gearing towards immense popularity in the anime community as doujins are becoming more mainstream. A large percentage of doujins are catered to lolicons and the demand can pressure other doujin authors/artists into making more. The moe genre is also skyrocketing in popularity, and those are filled with a bunch of little girls and their desired flat chests. Expect this increase to rise even more in the near future.

Pettanko & Terminology

A pettanko is a Japanese term for flat chested girl; "pettan" means flat, while the suffix "ko" means girl. Many noobish weebs tend to mistankingly believe that "Tsurepettan", the title of that one Touhou song about flat chests, means flat chest or flat chested girl in Japanese when it actually means "flat and smooth". Although Tsurepettan does not directly translate to "delicious flat chest", the song is considered by many to be the unofficial anthem of flat chests.

There also are other terms for DFC in moonspeak, such as "Oishi Furatto Mune" (Delicious Flat Chest). The word hinnyu, which is literally translated as "impoverished chest", is another term used to describe a flat chested character. While DFC is the most common term for flat chested anime girls outside Japan, pettanko is used by weeaboos and otakus alike, albeit rarely. Additionally, as Japan obsesses over typical character archetypes, such as the tsundere, there's also a specific archetype for the pettanko. These characters are lolis or young adults who can still fit into their school swimsuit, sometimes have low self-esteem, and generally full of typical loli traits.

Since Japan loves flat chested women as much as the more busty ones, the creepy pettanko trend is similar to that of the Tsundere trend, which has also been popularized by moe and slice of life anime. Because of the popularity of flat chests, many of otakus in anime image boards have expressed their dislike of it all, unsatisfied that flat chests are beginning to be accepted by the less weird-but-still-as-big-of-a-loser general anime public, or as they call them "normalfags" (note: these people aren't normal, therefore they should be referred to as "semi-normalfags"). Feeling that DFCs/pettankos are now overrated, these elitist hipsters move onto a newer fetish, which is generally either lolis with melon-sized breasts or "average-sized" breasts.
