Drama is the sweet, sweet fuel that keeps the dark underbelly of the internet running. It can be found everywhere from World of Warcraft to the very smallest cat enthusiast forum. Drama generally occurs when a small remark or gesture is taken offensively and blown out of proportion. It is the number one reason that forums fall apart and people flounce online communities. There are many flavors of internet drama, such as girl drama and furry drama. Chronic drama-generators are known as drama queens.
Drama is also found IRL in significantly smaller amounts.
Common usage
Internet-goers usually throw around the word 'drama' when bad-talking an online community or somebody who resides within it. It is always invoked at least once during an argument or a flounce letter.
