EPIC

(adjective) Awesome or great, in a positive or negative notion. Can be used to refer to anything but is usually referring to a particular event or action.
The most common usages are "epic win" or "epic failure". Occasionally people use the phrase "Epic ___" as a stand-alone sentence or phrase, always following a story about something considered Epic. Generally overused. In some old meme culture, Epic was often used in conjunction with Sparta and Chuck Norris. Usually, it is now only used by new kids and users who just cannot let go of the past.
Common usage
"Epic" is overused on both the web and IRL when someone posts something of note. Generally saying either "EPIC WIN" or "EPIC FAIL" in response to a given stimuli will land you an inconspicuous slot in the Chan ranks, though in more sophisticated forums you'll be belittled as a child and "one of those kids." For the sake of bettering the internets and promoting peace where you seek it, never use the word "Epic", as the word itself isn't epic.
