Fansy THE FAMOUS BARD
Summary
In July 2001, all hell broke loose on the Vallon Zek server of EverQuest. The evil team on this player-versus-player server was facing a tremendous threat. His name? Fansy THE FAMOUS BARD.
Fansy basically rounded up aggressive sand giants in Oasis and pulled them to evil players. This allowed the giants to stomp the evil players to death.
He did this over and over and over, and became an EverQuest legend. That may not be a good thing.

[Fri Jul 06 22:39:13 2001] Kordesh shouts, 'why do I think Fansy is just some guy from another country who can only speek various american catch phrases sutch as "You've got mail" and "Gotta catch em all"'
He provided his "hahas" and "roflols" to his guild, Flowers of Happiness, and these are mirrored over here. A lot of his persona involved him trying to convert evil people to be his friend, else they would get sand giants on their asses.
He returned a year later, this time, using a Priest of Discord instead of sand giants.
Origins
Fansy started a thread on the EQ forums titled "GO-GO GOOD TEAM!!!" He said, "Hail Adventurers, and welcome to the 1st episode of FANSY THE FAMOUS BARD!
I've noticed something wrong about Norrath. There are a heck of a lot of bad guys.. almost everyone I see looks at me threateningly. Why are there so many bad people? Evil shaman, evil monks, evil bards, evil clerics, and evil newts. (ooc: perhaps because they are evil IRL)
I've tried hard to make friends, but nobody wants to be a friend. They're too busy being evil. That makes me sad :("
Thus began him screencaps of trolling sand giants onto people.
Rise to fame
Since his trolling occurred over the span of multiple days in July, he became famous on his server, and the then-smaller MMORPG community as a whole.
Current status
Where is Fansy? Nobody knows. Some speculate he's playing Train Simulator.
It has almost been ten years since this happened. Today, something like this wouldn't be nearly as big.
