"Fat Girl Angle Shot" (also known as MySpace Angles) is a catch-all phrase used to describe methods of hiding unflattering physical aspects with creative posing, Photoshop filtering or selective cropping.
Common usage
Looking slightly down from above to hide chubbiness around the zygoma and chin multiplicity is known as the classic Fat Girl Angle Shot. This technique is also referred to as the "LiveJournal head tilt", though it appears on all social networking sites. Other methods include increasing contrast to hide any definition of depth, selective cropping, intentional pixel-ization and "glitter-bombing". These methods all fall under the title of FGAS due to their similarly deceptive nature.
This is false advertising at its funniest.
