FurAffinity (or FA) is a website, much like DeviantArt, Pixiv, or SheezyArt, where users can upload examples of their art or writing for other users to view, critique, or more often than not, start drama over. Unlike those websites, FurAffinity only has furry art, and unlike Deviantart and Sheezyart FurAffinity has "yiff" (explicitly pornographic) art.
The site is frequently unavailable and riddled with unpatched exploits and its infrastructure leaves much to be desired, leading to stability issues.
The admin often promises new features, designs, and projects which never materialize and has exhibited financial irresponsibility, wasting money on unnecessary hardware and software to enhance the site.
In 2005 the staff at SheezyArt told furries to get out, as they were clogging up the site with obscene yiff art and generally stirring up trouble. Minutes after the mods posted the message, a user posted a link to FA, which appeared to have been hastily coded after the announcement had been made.
The site is still around, though it suffers the same issues that have plagued it since its inception.
- The site has attempted to ban "cub art," which is the furry equivalent to CP, with varying degrees of success.
