A much-maligned catchphrase from Star Wars

Summary
It's a trap! may be a phrase posted in response to just about everything, but has slowly evolved to refer to transsexuals or cross-dressers. Before 4chan adopted it, however, it was briefly popular on websites such as Fark or Something Awful, where users would insert an image of Admiral Ackbar shouting "It's a trap!" into various (often poorly) Photoshopped images.
Origins
This was originally a line uttered by supporting character Admiral Ackbar when ambushed while attacking the Death Star in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. It was popularized online when former SA admin and contributor OMGWTFBBQ created an image macro featuring the character and phrase, and it spread throughout the forums like wildfire. It was abandoned for overuse shortly afterwards, and, as with many of SA's castoffs, was adopted by Fark and done to death there.
Current status
The phrase has now evolved to act as a warning to posters or readers that a particular person is not a female, and in fact possesses male genitalia beneath their clothing/lingerie. Also Family Guy used it as the title of their Star Wars Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi parody.
