Summary
Like a boss is a catchphrase that is commonly used as a macro on images where a person is seen acting with a sense of superiority, coolness or disregard for what other people might think of them.
Origins
The like a boss phrase originates from the eponymous music video by the band Lonely Island. In this video Andy Samberg, "The Boss", attends a performance review. He is asked by Seth Rogen to recount what a typical day of being "The Boss" would be like. During the song he lists increasingly absurd things that he couldn't do every day, such as throwing himself out of a window, castrating himself, turning into a jet aircraft and doing bad things to a giant fish he found in a sewer. Naturally, he does all of these things like a boss.
