Summary
A program that shows images and plays sound clips of a person'a waifu as a means to create the illusion that there is no blocking dimension. The program was made using Adobe AIR, so it is compatible with all operating systems.
Origins
In September 2011, a thread began on 4chan's /a/ about things the fellow Anons wished existed. Someone mentioned an Android app that showed images of a person's waifu and a random sound. After an overwhelming amount of people wishing for a similar program for the computer, the Tripfag Kami stepped up to the plate too fulfill their desires.
Current status
maiWaifu App is currently at v0.13, which allows for more customization than it's original release version. The days of weeaboo Terminators are close at hand.
Facts
- Kami intends for the software to be open source
- Originally, Kami didn't want donations. After overwhelming demand to pay him for his efforts, a 'Donations' section was added to his site
- Anything can be plugged into the maiWaifer Editor; be it an anime character, a real life person, a table, any animal, vegetable, mineral, etc.
