A racist yet memetic character derived from late-night McDonald's advertising, KKK!

Moon Man was one of the last major fads of YTMND, and definitely among its most controversial. Created by Farkle, it portrays Mac Tonight, one of the lesser McDonald's mascots used primarily in the 1980s, as an over-the-top racist and sexist man. The Moon Man universe (or "Mooniverse" if you will) typically consists of Moon Man, his NAACP arch-nemesis Sun Man, and his girlfriend Audrina Patridge of MTV fame. Moon Man is voiced by the Text to Speech character AT&T Mike, and typically chants "KKK" for at least half of his appearances.
Moon Man was popularized in 2007-2008, right as YTMND was going into steady decline. The first Moon Man site, though created by Farkle, did not use Text to Speech and instead used the song "Maccaron Chaccaron," already associated with at least one previous YTMND fad.
Moon Man is sometimes credited with killing YTMND, yet many users cherish the character. The Moon KKKrew, which is administrated by Farkle and fellow Moon Man expert FowderSoap, is a forum where these users talk about all things Moon Man. The blatantly racist nature of Moon Man sites has created controversy, such as how AT&T Text to Speech now blocks all submissions that include the words "Moon Man." However, alternatives have been found.
