Summary

Nick Berg was an American man who designed radio towers and built them in Iraq. One day a group of Islamic terrorists kidnapped Berg. They wanted badly to be internet tough guys, so they filmed Berg getting his head sliced off. Other terrorists in Iraq said "me too!" and wanted to become internet tough guys, so they chopped off the heads of other hapless westerners.

Origins

Abu Musab Al Zarqawi, the leader of the group Al Qaeda in Iraq, had a grand idea: Let's chop off the heads of those Americans to show them how we are stronger than they are!

All he did is show how sick he and his followers were.

Rise to fame

Once posted on the internet, the Nick Berg video caused lots of drama

Current status

You don't see those videos anymore. Al Zarwaqi kind of bought the farm long after Berg bought it.
