I had an account, but it got b& --PopeyeSquirm 19:43, 22 November 2011 (EST)
- it's a seven page thread. idk what ones would be new. Killhamster is a SA goon, so you might drop a note on his page, or clarify here what i can find for you. the last post was made october 6, 2011. -hipcrime 19:21, 23 November 2011 (EST)
Animu
Which animu is in this picture File:Jia-junpeng-anime-560x315.jpg? VitsankMorris 01:42, 1 November 2011 (EDT)
• Pretty sure it's 'Shakugan no Shana.' But, I haven't seen it in a long time. So give me a couple hours (maybe a day) and I might be able to verify this. It's associated with the “Jia Junpeng, Your Mom Wants You To Go Home To Eat!” meme for some reason (assuming that's why you're asking).

Unwarranted Self Importance
Is writing yourself into an article allowed here? Outstanding citizen 08:57, 22 November 2011 (EST)
- greetings: in general, the answer to your question is no. however, since that author is one of the most prolific on this wiki, i have overlooked it. he should have enough self-esteem to not do that, and i wish you wouldnt report him to his university. i wish you two would get along. do feel free to undo his re-insertion, and if that is a problem, the article could be protected. this is the kind of shit that is supposed to happen on other wikis. ;) -hipcrime 13:54, 22 November 2011 (EST)
Galleries
Why is it when we save the pages, the pics in the gallery don't come out in the order you put them in on the form? I have to sit there and find the patterns in order to get them where I want them. Is this changeable or is it something I'm doing?

OI Article Improvement/Deletion Drive
Can we please have one? I seem to notice that a lot of articles here are on things OhInternet is not interested in covering. Most of these articles that I've found were either written by User:VitsankMorris or User:PopeyeSquirm, with many of them being crapstubs and never touched after the day they were made. That's one of things I hated the most about ED before it died; when someone would make a not so good article and it would just stay being crap, collecting cyber dust while being abandoned. Over the past 2 weeks, I have been searching to see which articles should stay and which shouldn't and have even compiled a list. Obviously, some of these articles do have a place on Ohi, but are in need of a rewrite.
There's also the issue that I brought up on articles not belonging on Ohi. Just because something has an article on TOW, KYM, TVTropes, etc. doesn't mean it deserves to have an article here. Another thing, I would like to kindly ask both Vitsank and PopEye to temporarily stop making articles until they get a good grasp of the topics that OhInternet covers. I'll be making a thread on this at the forum since I don't want to post the long list on the BB. ![]()

- What articles that I created are of concern? I'll be happy to look at/explain whichever ones are of concern
- From my understanding the matter of whether a subject that is covered on, say, KYM, TVTropes, etc. should be covered here depends upon OI's stated scope. The scope officially is that something is included if that something has a significant relationship to the internet.

Desu challenger appears! de geso
I learned on the interbutts that earlier this year there was an ongoing war on /a/ about desu and a veerbal tic that this one animu character named Ika Musume says in this one animu called Shinryaku! Ika Musume. She says geso/de geso or some shit like that.
Maybe that may be a good article

Esther 03:38, 28 December 2011 (EST)
- Hi, PresidentMudkip. I was actually working on such, except rather than make an entire article, I would add a section of it on the Desu article. I did the same thing on the ED article, which is why I emailed Sherrod asking for the source code to that and some other things. Also, this is unrelated, but when did you become some azn girl named Esther Nguyen? Is this some sort of troll gimmick or something, and why would you all of a sudden start cam whoring? (It's like they say, time stamp or it's fake)

Muammar Gaddafi
If somebody wants a bunch of Wikipoints, would anybody be interested in redirecting all of the alternate forms of Muammar Gaddafi's name? There are so many ways of spelling his name, and AFAIK none of them are more common than the other. VitsankMorris 08:38, 6 January 2012 (EST)
- Done. Also editing for the sake of increasing WikiPoints is as dumb as posting for post count.

United States
How should I approach a rewrite of the United States article?
Should it be something like Mexico? VitsankMorris 01:08, 13 February 2012 (EST)
- My first suggestion would be to have someone else write it. I don't mean to offend, but the US article as well as all the other articles on countries are horrible and should all be rewritten by a competent editor. And no, the Mexico article is not a fine example to follow as it too needs a proper rewrite. In fact, before, it read pretty much like a gimmicky brochure for some cheap vacation resort and an advertisement for the El Narco page. The Brazil article also has that gimmicky brochure feel. While satire and comedy are not required on OhI, and in some cases are best avoided to prevent trying too hard and unfunny mindless bashing, I feel the country articles should be one of our funnier pages (else it'll just read like another TOW page) and I don't think that comedy is your best skill. Country articles are not my speciality and I would just screw it up with bitter childish crap. Besides, why not let someone else write some pages for a change?

03:41, 13 February 2012 (EST)
- I'm fine with letting somebody else do rewrites of those articles. If anybody is interested, they could post their ideas here. VitsankMorris 12:10, 13 February 2012 (EST)
Unprotect Sonmanic?
Is it okay if Sonmanic is unprotected? There are some updates I would like to do to it... pretty much adding a link to Tails Gets Trolled, and adding that Sonmanic shut down all of his accounts VitsankMorris 16:51, 3 April 2012 (EDT)
- Thank you, Killhamster! VitsankMorris 02:27, 4 April 2012 (EDT)
Catching up on some current event stuff
Hi, we seem to be way behind on a lot of hot trends and topics on the internet that shouldn't be neglected and require immediate attention. Such include things such as Skrillex, Horse Ebooks, articles on the GOP and the candidates (the ones that we have are mostly stubs or memes on them but not an individual page), the Trayvon Martin situation and how the media is blowing the case out of proportion, Casey Anthony, Megaupload (an article on its founder isn't enough), probably an article on Google Glasses, and maybe Instagram. It might be a good idea if we get some of our more talented writers for these, so if you want to contribute to the wiki but don't know what to do, now's your chance to do something. Thanks! ![]()

TwistedTeeth
Can someone please delete the article TwistedTeeth. It's a badly written attack/grudge wank article on some nobody from DeviantArt and it's a little dox'ish.

Psykopaint
Has anyone ever heard of it? I just want to people to know of this great application to use if you want to create great art. I was going to create a page for it (Since no one had yet) but found out i should try to get more time editing before i try to create a page. If anyone wanted to create a page, let me know, i have some paintings i can share as "Examples of what Psykopaint can do". Just felt like showing the world another place they can create art. enjoy.--Foxire 19:19, 25 September 2012 (EDT)Foxire
Weird empty space in video section
In the list of videos on the Gangnam Style article, there's a random blank space where a video is supposed to go. Looking at the form and all the videos listed seem to be showing up, so this blank spot is just randomly there. Anyone know what's causing it and how to fix it? Because it's pretty ugly looking I feel. Thanks and <3s --

Captcha
Is there a more robust captcha that could be easily installed? The one OHI has does not have segmentation, and not enough warping. Machines have been easily busting this captcha. VitsankMorris 16:28, 16 May 2013 (EDT)
- Ok, that is a good idea. Do you know of one that is better? I will try to find something else in the next week or so and then we will turn user editing back on, assuming I find something out there that is decent. Thanks!

- No problem. I found an article that talks about different kinds: http://coding.smashingmagazine.com/2011/03/04/in-search-of-the-perfect-captcha/ - It mentions ones like "what is the fifth letter in this word" or "please select all cat photos" - I'm not sure if it's the norm to use more than one captcha. I'll see if I can find one that is reputed to be strong. VitsankMorris 17:25, 16 May 2013 (EDT)
- When I went to the recaptcha homepage I found that the advertisement for it shows segmentation: http://www.google.com/recaptcha - Is there a newer version which is stronger or more robust? VitsankMorris 17:30, 16 May 2013 (EDT)
- Also I posted a thread on the recaptcha forums: https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!topic/recaptcha/pOiGAMYv_hM - I'm hoping that somebody will find a solution VitsankMorris 19:49, 16 May 2013 (EDT)
- Mediawiki cites the most robust captchas being ReCaptcha and Asirra CAPTCHA (asks people to distinguish cats and dogs). It said that QuestyCaptcha was "weak" and that it may not be good in the future: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Anti-spam_features VitsankMorris 14:24, 18 May 2013 (EDT)
