Old media is a derogatory term used on the internet to refer to media dissemination methods used before the internet.

Common usage

Used as a catch-all term for newspapers, television, radio, books... any sort of media that is broadcast instead of user generated including Web 1.0. Examples of memes originating from old media include dental plan, from The Simpsons episode "Last Exit to Springfield," Antoine Dodson, and second, from Futurama.
