Polandball

Summary
Polandball is a meme that turns countries into spherical personas that interact in ways that give social commentary. Common themes are bad English (possibly to make fun of Polish posters), Polandball's remembering his relevant past, and how Poland can not into space.
Polandball has more or less ruined imageboards for patriotic Polish posters, but some of them have tried to make comics where Polandball gets the upper hand. These are usually derided.
Characters
- Polandball - the titular character, although not every comic necessarily has him in it. Polandball is looked down on for not being able to into space.
- UKball/Britball/Englandball - teams with Germany ball to keep Europe in order and Poland down.
- Germanyball - same as above but less monocles and more references to Nazi past
- Americaball/USAball - always a different combination of rich, fat, stupid, huge, and aloof (largely depending on the nationality of the comic's author). Out of the other balls, is the least likely to bully Poland. Americaball often has sunglasses to emphasize how little he cares about Euroaffairs.
- Russiaball - sneaky and overpowering. Always willing to backstab others for fun. Especially Poland.
- Franceball - may be even more made fun of than Poland. Surrender in one major war and this is your lasting legacy.
Just about any country can appear in a Polandball comic, but European and world powers are the most likely to appear.
Origins
Polandball originates on Krautchan's /int/ board, which uses little balls with flags on them to denote the location of each poster's IP. Polandballs are drawn in MS Paint, usually badly.
Current status
Polandball is still posted on imageboards often. Obviously, he is more more relevant to international boards.

- There have been many spinoffs, including Plutoball, which is about how Pluto can not into planethood.
