Summary
Pomf (or commonly referred to as "Pomf =3") is the onomatopoeia when a cute little girl falls on a comfy bed followed by a little cloud and wonders what's going to happen on the bed. Originally coming from the translation of a manga going by the name of The Light of Tsukimi Manor, the particular panel that featured the lustrous onomatopoeia became a meme in 4chan's /a/ board around late 2010.
As the anime-loving inhabitants began to flood /a/ with dumps of the comic, many began to deliver various shoops of the said picture. Although at this stage of the meme, it's mostly seen only on 4chan's animu boards as those who occupy the board haven't exactly spread the meme around.
Origins
The scanlated panel that started the meme originated from a pornographic lolicon manga titled The Light of Tsukimi Manor, created by Inuboshi, which was published in a September volume of Comic Megamilk in 2010. The particular panel originates from the second volume/chapter of The Light of Tsukimi Manor (titled "The Light of Tsukimi Manor 2"), on the twelfth page.
The main star of the manga, Akari-Chan (or Acchan), is just another ordinary little girl who happens to find herself in an unexpected predicament by those close to her. She is the poster child of a student apartment called "Tsukimi Manor" to which her family uses to attract male students. As Akari's mother cooks food and stays in the kitchen, Akari works as some sort of maid to the customers.
After delivering the three guys who live in the manor some rice balls, she discovers that they are masturbating to peep shots that the three took of her. As oblivious as Acchan was, she wonders why they took them, and their answer was that it was their "Source of Strength". Soon after, Akari decides to pose for the three, unbeknownst to her that she would end up getting naked and then having sex.
With each chapter is a different adventure of her having sex by one of the three, however, in the first she gets molested by all three of them. From being oblivious to being taken advantage by one the students, Akari seems to enjoy it the further the story goes.
Current status
Although not as popular as it once was, it does seem to show a thread or two on 4chan's /a/, /c/, and very rarely /b/. Though, these threads are now heavily saged and do not see much activity going on.
