Summary

Rigism is a philosophic group that sees the 2003 video game "Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing" as the greatest game ever made. This, in and of itself has put them at odds, since most video game publications have named it the "Worst game of all time". Despite this, Rigists believe that the reviewers just don't understand it's complex metaphors, extreme use of surrealism, and use of existentialism, or are just haters who work for the way of LOSER.

The Rigists claim that WINNER, an extrememly powerful force, that was first introduced to people at large through the victory screen in Big Rigs, which says "YOU'RE WINNER !". This power of WINNER is represented by the Four Almighty Rigs: Thunder, Megaone, Thunderbull, and Sunrise W12. But not all is good. The powerful forces of LOSER were discovered by Rigists after seeing Gamespot reviewer Alex Navarro's review of Big Rigs. Alex Navarro is dubbed He Who Should Not Be Named by Rigists, and is considered to be the human incarnation of LOSER incarnate. Halo as well is considered especially LOSER among Rigists.

Other games that are respected by Rigists include: Barney's Hide and go Seek, Zero Wing, Superman, Drake of the 99 Dragons, E.T., Michael Jackson's Moonwalker, Hotel Mario, Shaq-Fu, and many other games.

Origins

Rigism began on GameFAQs around 2003. They were met with resistance from the moderators. It also has small pockets on many other websites. It's home used to be Rigism.com, but now is at yourewinner.com

Current status

Not nearly as large as it once was, which was still somewhat small, Rigism still thrives though.
