Snapesnogger
DeviantART and Harry Potter Goddess.
Summary
Snapesnogger (more recently referred to as OwlGems) was a DeviantARTist notable on the internet for her Harry Potter fanart, her "unique" naga artwork and her extremely negative attitude towards criticism.
Snapesnogger became both famous and infamous on DeviantART after she joined the site. Her art was initially widely praised, and Snapesnogger rose to a certain amount of fame.
At the same time, Snogger was attracting attention for her reactions when other users would critique or comment on negative aspects of her work. Snogger would often overreact in her responses, attacking other users or becoming intensely self-deprecating.
Because of her popularity, whenever Snapesnogger would post something negative her fanbase would respond with messages of support. This did not sit well with other artists, who felt that Snogger was being an attentionwhore, and was not worth the support she was receiving for her emotional outbursts. At the same time, now-defunct website Encyclopedia Dramatica was catching on to the fact that Snapesnogger was both very easily offended and very vocal about her offense. An exhaustive article was written about her on ED, and was subsequently spread around artistic circles. The article covered almost every aspect of the drama that surrounded her, encouraged users to continually bring Snapesnogger down and was likened by some to a massive smear campaign. Soon, trolls began to flood from ED to her page, posing as normal people in order to get a rise out of her;

It had become clear that Snapesnogger was a lost cause. Her inability to respond to critique along with her incredibly short fuse had solidified her as an easy target for ED.
At some point, Snapesnogger's short fuse probably coupled with her inability to trust anyone from the whole ED drama started to annoy her drawing buddies and fans as well;

After being unable to deal with the backlash over her attitude, Snapesnogger has left account after account trying to get away from being targeted by Encyclopedia Dramatica.
The ConceptArt Scandal
One day, Snapesnogger decided to post her work of nagas (60% Female, 40% Male, Snake-man thing contraption) on ConceptArt. Unsurprisingly, the denzins offered Snogger some very constructive criticism which she did not take lightly at all. Soon, fans came to ConceptArt defending Snogger's work. The drama got to the point where the actual artists laughed off Snogger back to DA with her fans, spawning the site some minor memes. Back at DA, Snogger made journals about the situation. In fact, the infamous thread still exists as a testament to Snapesnogger.
The y!Gallery Scandal
y!Gallery is a site dedicated to yaoi (gay anime porn) that Snogger had an account on. Snogger one day decided to upload a piece there of her nagas. Since technically her nagas are 60% female, the porn piece she uploaded was considered straight and banned Snogger from the completely gay smut site. Once again, Snogger complained on her DA, ignoring the fact she broke several other rules such as lying about her age, before eventually filling out a form to contest the ban. The ban form took her to the ED article that use to exist, which she (again) went on DA to complain. Snogger tried getting around the ban by making an alt account, but the mods quickly found it and killed it.
Origins
Snapesnogger joined DA in May 2004, starting out drawing Harry Potter fanart. The well-known and well-researched nature of drawing slash fanart from popular fiction caused her to be catapulted to fame very quickly.
Rise to fame
Snogger became popular on DeviantART when she drew popular characters in the Harry Potter universe in a moe fashion.
She then captured the attention of both 4chan and ED when intersecting users of said sites began to notice she was very focused on receiving comments and attention on her artwork, though would react negatively to criticism.
Noticing Snogger's weakness to take on broad criticism, both sites began to actively cast trollbait her way, knowing she would take the bait. Which she did.
Current status
Snapesnogger's original account has been deactivated, and she has signed up with a series of other accounts in order to distance herself from the Trolling.
Snogger is currently laying low in her new DeviantART account, Fluro-knife, drawing her Nagas among other things.
