A big baby and furry who aggressively promoted his grandiose Sonic the Hedgehog movie that never got made - also is known as a habitual liar and forum ban jumper

Summary

Richard Kuta is an American guy who said he is going to make a great Sonic the Hedgehog movie. He has many internet handles, such as Sonmanic, A Knothole Resident, Mr Chipmunk Mobian, Diapered Chipmunk, Iampampered, and Alex Lost Four. However he always has the same behavior - getting banned from forums and rejoining, using alts, panhandling for money and housing, and publicly posting his fetish for dressing up like a baby and using diapers. He constantly says "I'm leaving the fandom," only for him to return.

He is well known for his grandiose Sonic the Hedgehog plans that never come to fruition, and bragging to various internet forums about these plans. First he said he was going to direct a movie on behalf of Sega. After Sega slipped him a cease and desist order, asking him to stop contacting the company, Sonmanic announced that he was making his own fanfilm! After his trailer wasn't well received, he said that he was ending the fan project.

Origins

Sonmanic originates from the San Francisco Bay Area. He watched and adored the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon show. Well, he actually became a bit obsessed with it.

Rise to fame

At first he sold pirated DVD's of Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons until DiC told him to stop, or else he would be taken to court and given a lawsuit (nope, not a lolsuit) - then he became banned from several forums. He jumped the bans, and then got banned again and again. In retrospect, he probably should have stuck with pirating DVD's.

Also he begged Sega to have his fanfilm made. He posted on various forums saying that it was going to be made, and that he was going to revolutionize Sonic the Hedgehog. In response, Sega gave him a cease and desist on contacting the company.

Time for Plan B: Sonmanic announced that he was going to make a movie without the copyrights. He hawked the Sonic the Hedgehog movie and his plans and started a website asking for donations from many gullible people. He said it was going to be "Don Bluth" quality. During various times, after facing trolls, Kuta said he was going to end his project, only for him to reappear and announce that he was going to make it active all over again. As his plans continued, TSSZ News and some of his friends fed Sonmanic's ego.

Meanwhile he became very well known for his rants regarding the Sonic fandom. He complained about the eye color of Sonic in Sonic 4; the classic games gave Sonic black eyes, but since 1998 Sonic had green eyes. Sonmanic's insistence on the black eyes seemed a bit excessive. Also he demanded that Eggman be called "Robotnik" like in the old days. Again, the fanbase believed this was a tad excessive.

Then he paid $300 to an Argentine studio to make a trailer for his Sonic the Hedgehog fanfilm. Any doe-eyed Sonic fans who expected a crisp, graceful trailer were pretty disappointed. Then again, how much quality could one expect for $300? He also didn't spend the extra money for professional voice actors. After facing a backlash...

Current status

... he said that he was stopping the movie project once and for all (or will he?).

He hanged around Deviantart (no surprise) and YouTube, focusing on his other useless pursuits. He has since closed all his YouTube and Deviantart accounts.
