Spax3

Internet videogame reviewer known for taking down numerous videos under copyright claims

Summary

Spax3 is one of many people who did video game reviews on YouTube in the same vein as reviewers like TGWTG and AVGN. Spax became notorious for his tendencies to flag videos on YouTube for copyright whenever someone made a video calling him out on his behavior. This even spread to getting accounts on DeviantArt banned for similar reasons.

Spax would also become infamous for his passionate dislike of Sonic's voice actor: Jason Griffith, even going so far as to launch a campaign to boycott Sega games if they didn't bring the previous voice actor back.

Something Spax was also infamous for was his DeviantArt page, featuring both his Mary Sue fursona, and his love of Cream the Rabbit.

Origins

Spax first started his career like many others, doing video game reviews on YouTube trying to emulate people like the Angry Video Game Nerd. These contained highly derivative content, like a slightly modified Cartoon Network logo, or using characters like Toonami's TOM or Domino's pizza's The Noid. From these videos he was able to gather a small fan base.

Spax's legal battles

Spax still lived with his mom. Luckily for him, she was a lawyer, meaning he could use her experience in expertise in his online battles regarding his videos and anything on the Internet he doesn't like.

This all began when he was working with Sonmanic on his Sonic the Hedgehog fan film as a voice actor. He was later fired from this project because he was playing video games instead of helping out. Spax was upset about this, and got him in legal trouble, resulting in the movies (temporary) cancelation. This made Sonmanic hate his guts from then on.

Later, a young girl who was also on the project made a video describing the details as to why he was fired. His answer was getting his mother to talk to her mother about how she could be sued for making such a video.

Afterwards, people on YouTube started to notice his behavior, and what followed was a series of parodies and rants. His answer to these rants was to have these videos pulled one by one for copyright claims, which irked many of the uploaders.

Spax VS. Jason Griffith

Yes, he actually did this...

For those who don't know, Jason Griffith is the voice actor for Sonic who replaced Ryan Drummond from Sonic 2006 to around 2010. Spax3 does not like Jason Griffith. A lot. He even tried to launch a massive boycott/protest of Sonic games until Ryan Drummond(or anyone else really) was the voice actor. Why? Because he says he was so terrible at it he was hurting Sonic's character and the whole franchise. He even got an email from Jason Griffith himself inquiring why he is the worst voice actor ever.

Afterwards, he had stated interest in becoming a voice actor himself, just to "show them how it's done".

His DeviantArt

DeviantArt is an amateur art site with a less than reputable status as a den of bad anime, furry art, and Sonic recolors. Spax had an account on here with just that. Besides pictures of himself, Spax would also have pictures of his hedgehog recolor: Alex/Ed the Hedgehog.

What people would really notice however, was how much of a fan he was of Sonic character Cream the Rabbit. And bondage. Many pictures he made would feature her being tied up or placed in compromising positions. In case you don't know, Cream's supposed to be 6 years old.

Current status

Most of his old videos or drawings that made him infamous have since been removed. He is still currently visiting gaming conventions and continuing his gaming journalism career.
