'''Crabcore''' is one of those confusing sub-genres that has drawn the ire of forums and music critics, with the name of the genre itself originating in a now-lost thread on a heavy metal forum, in which the [[OP]] and various other posters mocked the band Attack Attack! for their video for ''Stick Stickly''. The video is primarily of the band performing on a farm, gyrating and dancing in a humorous manner. It is from this that the moniker "crabcore" was born, as the guitarist squats down and leans back and forth, as if he were a crab. Other ridiculous poses are encountered throughout the video, as is the overuse of [[Autotune]], formulaic breakdowns, and electronically produced beats.
