They get way too far into it, to the point that they spend every waking hour playing, they don't eat, they lose their job, have to move back into their parents' house and apply for welfare just to support their subscription. They believe that they are enjoying playing the games, but in reality they are moody, irritable and discontent with their lives. Does this remind you of anyone? Nonetheless, the MMORPG Freak Out is an epidemic that has been sighted and recorded for YOUR enjoyment. The majority of thes "incidents" spawn from an in-game inconvenience. Some jerk just swoops and and "zergs their cloudsong" or getting killed over and over in rapid succession. These instances are often met with keyboard smashing(because it IS the keyboards fault, not your lack of reflexes), screaming unholy obscenities into the microphone, and ragequitting. A huge majority of these fits end with chronic symptoms of Internet Tough Guy Syndrome. One of the most famous cases of an MMORPG freakout is well documented on youtube as the "Greatest Freakout Ever". In said video a young, disturbed man proceeds to throw an incredible dignity annihilating temper tantrum, strip down to his skivvies in the blink of an eye, and attempt to become one with a remote control via his colon. Widely believed to be a fake, it still sets the standard for how NOT to react to your WoW account being terminated. The "WoW Kid" became an internet meme briefly, having his famous "remote in butt" image shooped countless times. In some circles, it's considered a sport of sorts to CAUSE online freakouts. Be it by mic spam, team killing, or by being a general nuisance, it often causes extreme cases of rage. ce, it often causes extreme cases of rage.
