"Moonspeak"

I visited IRC and some of the guys there say that the only significant group that uses "Moonspeak" to refer to the Japanese language is /b/. It may appear on other sites, but apparently it's a consequence of /b/ culture.

If OI is going to use the word in its articles I think its definition and origin should be mentioned as a fact within the body of an OI articke.

Is there enough material to actually write an article on the term "moonspeak" or would it be best stated in the "facts" section of the Japan article? VitsankMorris 21:36, 13 February 2012 (EST)

  • Not really. I mean Moonspeak is just used in reference in any foreign language, not just Japanese. And it's also a self-explanatory joke IMO so I don't think it really needs an article. LiquidSnake 00:21, 14 February 2012 (EST)
    • I did some Google searching, and some pages said that "Moonspeak" was originally referring to Japanese but the definition since expanded to other languages. VitsankMorris 01:17, 14 February 2012 (EST)
