Summary
Troll physics or troll science is the intentional misuse of scientific concepts to solve life's biggest problems and/or give people large amounts of profit.
Troll science was discovered on /sci/ after someone mixed trollface, physics, loopy arms, magnets, and clever trolls. The results are usually infinite money and/or energy. Many troll physics comics end with "Problem, X?" where X is a variable, but this is not a rule or necessary. All that is necessary is bad science and impossibility.
Origins
Troll physics originated on /sci/. It effectively makes fun of people who do not properly understand physics and at the same time makes fun of people who would ever take an image involving trollface seriously. Troll science is the greatest cultural export from /sci/.
Current status
Troll physics remains popular. In fact, there's three different popular tumblrs for it.
