Weegee
Creepy image based on a Super Mario brother.
Summary
Weegee is a drawing by a LUE user named MonkeyInCloset as his way of imitating a sprite in the PC game Mario is Missing. This was the first game that starred Mario's younger brother Luigi as the primary playable character. Weegee's high eyebrows and disturbing eyes are universally seen as very creepy. Weegee's name comes from the Super Mario Bros. cartoons of the late 80's/early 90's, where Luigi's name was sometimes pronounced "Weegee".
Weegee has taken over /v/, appearing in just about any image. /v/ also hates Weegee due to his overuse. This does not stop users from posting him.
Origins
As mentioned above, LUEser MonkeyInCloset started this phenomenon on August 11, 2007. Its creepy expression was inserted into every image possible.
Current status
Weegee remains popular as a way of ruining images. Paheal even has their own Rule 84 stating that there is no image he can't ruin.
