Summary

The Anna Kournikova worm (also known as VBS/Onthefly) pruports to have some pornography of Anna Kournikova, a Russian tennis star. Instead it e-mails itself to everyone in your Microsoft Outlook address book. It was released in 2001.

The file was AnnaKournikova.jpg.vbs - meant to fool people into thinking it was a JPG file.

Origins

It was programmed in VBScript by Jan de Wit, a Dutch VXer who has the internet name "Onthefly". David L. Smith, the guy who wrote Melissa, helped track down Wit.

Current status

Not common anymore.
