AnonIB was founded in May 2006 by ex 4channer, Alphabet. It quickly gained popularity after the mass exodus of the original /b/ on August 23 2006.

AnonIB has been plagued with many problems over the years mainly due to Alphabet selling the website to Mindpoop. Ever since then anonIB has been a haven for spam, malware, and viruses. It is currently offline due to allegations of it harboring Child Pornography.
