Summary

Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like? was a phrase that made up part of a post on /v/. Every subsequent post was either someone trying to decipher the phrase or reposting it with a clever picture. It is often used to show confusion or to make fun of another poster who is having trouble communicating effectively. It was/is mostly prevalent on YouTube and 4chan, where it originated.

The phrase can be abbreviated as Harbfeadtuegwtdlml, which is STILL hard to remember.

The thread that started it all.

The thread started like any other on /v/. The poster was trying to start a discussion based on the upcoming Wii game The Conduit. The very next post responded with

—A /v/ poster having some trouble

It is possible that the poster was afflicted by word salad. This is where the speaker thinks they are grammatically correct, but it is hard to derive any meaning from the words. It's either that or he was a troll.

Current status

To this day, the post has not been reliably deciphered.

Sometimes the phrase is used sarcastically as a response to an equally indecipherable comment.

Possible Meanings

"Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?"

Worded to:

"Has anyone really decided as to even go that far in wanting to do to look more like so?"

  • Subject - Anyone
  • Verb - decided (modified by "really" adverb)
  • Direct object to "decided" - "that" (pronoun modified by "far")
  • Noun clause that clarifies "that" - "wanting to do" (gerund phrase)
  • Do what? - "to look more like so"

Meaning:

"Has any video game company really taken such measure to make a game so realistic?"

It has also been proposed by #modacity's abuse of Translation Party that it means "How can anyone use it?", likely referring to the poster's lol at the OP's screenshot. See the translation here.

Translation Party has made a good equilibrium: In this example, later, some actually use? For the entire thing, go here.
