Summary
Neil Cicierega is best known for being the one-man band Lemon Demon which wrote the song "The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny." The song was given a music video by Alt+F4 and is available as downloadable content in Rock Band. He also has created many YouTube videos, the most popular of which are the Potter Puppet Pals videos (and specifically "The Mysterious Ticking Noise").
Origins
Neil Cicierega first gained fame by inventing Animutations ten years ago. Then he animated the first two Potter Puppet Pals videos in the days before YouTube.
Music-wise, he first released three albums of instrumental music under the name "Trapezoid," which was later changed to "Deporitaz" (an anagram of "Trapezoid") for legal reasons. In 2003, he released the first two Lemon Demon albums, Clown Circus and Live from the Haunted Candle Shop.
Rise to fame
With the release of "The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny," many fans discovered the Lemon Demon albums Hip to the Javabean and Damn Skippy. Dinosaurchestra was released shortly after.
Current status
Neil hasn't released a new Lemon Demon album since View-Monster (disregarding the rare compilation Almanac 2009 and the EP Live (Only Not)) and he is declining in quality on YouTube. Nevertheless, he still has an obsessive cult following.
