OHi is not Know Your Meme
Not only are we holding ourselves to a higher standard than KYM, we're also a wiki, meaning anyone can edit, not just a selected few, like at that other site. Additionally, OHi is about ALL internet culture, not just memes, and we're happy to cover personalities, websites, movements, and the like, giving them equal attention.
OHi is not Uncyclopedia
Articles here must focus on subjects that have notability with regard to the internet and aren't intended to be written about anything that strikes your fancy. Don't write stupid fluff articles, they will just be deleted.
OHi is not Wikipedia
Again, we want to focus on memes, websites, personalities, and other internet-relevant topics. If you want to write about a city or state, this is definitely not the wiki for you. Wikipedia is chock full of trivia, and we're sure that they'd love to have edit wars with you over a television show or Star Wars.
OHi is not Encyclopedia Dramatica
ED got far, far off course and ended up being ruined as a result. Oh Internet! isn't here to act as a parody of Wikipedia or a satirical website, we are here to provide information on memes, personalities, and websites that Wikipedia and traditional news outlets don't cover. If a subject doesn't have some close relationship with the internet, it should not (and will not) have an article here.
OHi is not 4chan
Oh Internet is not an extension of 4chan or any other major imageboard. Though we cover memes and offer information regarding these sites, treating OHi as 4chan: The Expansion Pack will get you in trouble.
OHi is not a news site
Oh Internet wiki doesn't focus on current events unless they are somehow tied to an internet meme, personality, website, or subculture. If you're looking for a place to report on or read about up to the minute internet culture happenings, visit our blog, which accepts user submissions.
OHi is not your personal army
This website is not the place to come and ask to have someone trolled or a website attacked. While we cover such events, we are not a staging ground for them. Likewise, articles here are not a place to reveal or store anyone's personal information that can be used to attack or harm them.
OHi is not your high school
Oh Internet! is not the place to bring your petty drama or squabbles. If you're having a stupid internet slapfight with someone, keep it off our servers. This goes double for DeviantArt users.
OHi is not a book report
You are not being graded as an editor here, and needn't write pointlessly long articles. We're here to provide information in a convenient, relevant and quickly read format, so keep things short and to the point.
