It's your game, but the community and staff bitch about it if it's hard!

Roblox is a game where you play as weird characters you can edit, as long as you own an account on the game. It runs on the free OGRE engine, and Roblox is a "free" game.

System Requirements

• Windows 2000, XP or 7 (if you're lucky enough not to get a Blue Screen of Death) or Mac OS X (if you're lucky enough not to get a kernel panic).

...that's just it. You also need DirectX, too.

History

David Bamzooki was home drunk working on a website for children. He decided "What about a game where you make a game!" and worked with John Shedletsky to make ROBLOX.

Community

Your average Roblox player is under 13 and joins clans and think they "pwn all nubz" and will "kill u til u die nubzor".

The community also makes the game. How to make a game? Think of a subject, let's pick OhInternet. Then replace "[subject]" with your subject.

Even though there are bad places, there are games that actually are good. Vidre Cova is a game where you explore around a crystal cave to get out of it. It's hard and that's why the community says "this sux cos 2 hard lolol ply my gaem plz"

And the comments? They're usually "DONT STOP RREAD THIS YOULL BE KISSED BY THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE", "post this on [number] [item]s to get 999999999999999999999 tix n bux" or "com 2 mah plc plz"

Games

Games in Roblox use a modified, well, kinda crippled version of Lua 5.1, which the admins love to break. Two years ago lots of games would work fine, fast forward to this year and Roblox Lua (the name for the programming language inside the game) is now buggy.

They removed vital parts of Lua to allow innocent games to work. They removed a feature to load HTML windows.

But most of the community does not bother with Lua and rely on "free models". Free Models are models that you can get for free. A lot of people rely on free models and most games consist of 100% free models.

And getting into games is hard enough, you need a program just to run it. Roblox is clearly outdated nowadays, it uses an old engine and isn't using any new features in HTML5 or 2010 Micro$oft tools.

Staff

Roblox's staff aren't bad, except for Telamon/John Shedletsky. He doesn't care about Roblox's players and thinks money is 100% more important than your own family. Two people work on custom character crap that you can buy for 50000 Robux, thats why they look really rushed and shit.

Paid Membership

Roblox has a paid membership: Builder's Club.. It's really hard to buy. You need a direct credit card, PayPal, Wallie card (Prepaid cards that exist nowhere) or mail. Little kids blow their parents' credit cards for this membership.

BC gives you more places and pay you in Robux just for having it. But wait, there's more!

Turbo Builder's Club. More places, more robux, more money wasted!

And if that's not enough, there's OUTRAGEOUS Builder's Club. OBC gives you OUTRAGEOUS amounts of Robux, OUTRAGEOUS amounts of places and requires you to pay OUTRAGEOUS amounts of in-real-life money. Oh, and did I mention OBC lets you watch the admins on UStream?
